Beautiful and Iced John

First, let me just say that John Mayer is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, man with an amazing voice.

Yesterday I of course had a grueling 10 hours of work. However, it was all better come 5:30because my Dad and his girlfriend (also my best friend and roommate) came to my work and we car pooled to the John Mayer concert.

Jeff Dennen (No idea who he is) and Colbie Calliat (who I absolutely love!) open for him.

I was of course DD as always; however, we got to the concert at 6:30 and we knew we weren't leaving until at least 11, so I would be safe if I had a beer (okay Smirnoff, but it's still a beer). One beer turned into 2 and then 3 but I cut myself off before I could even manage a buzz.

Tonya and Dad pretty much got wasted. I was a little upset, originally just Tonya and I were supposed to go, but my Dad sort of invited himself. He actually bought the tickets so I couldn't complain about him going because I didn't have to pay for it.

Colbie Calliat was amazing in her performance; she didn't sing Magic which is one of my favorite songs! I got a tank top from her though!

Anyway, John Mayer's performance was absolutely orgasmic! He did disappoint me though; He looks like shit! Not an ugly ‘you look like shit,’ he is still beautiful. It was more of a ‘you're on ice (crystal meth) so you look like shit.’ It was very depressing.

I give him maybe one and a half more albums before he overdoses. I will be extremely saddened by that event. His music has touched my heart and the thought of losing that hurts.

No More # 323...

I haven't stayed at my apartment in over a week. But it was mine and I liked it.

Sometimes things just don't work out. I could have kept paying way too much for way too little space. However, I finally gave up and after Tonya invited me to move in with her and her girls, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to save money.

Technically my last day should of been last night and then I would of had until today to be out. But I had to work and I wanted the rest of my stuff out of the apartment.

Tonya stayed at my Dad's house Friday night and offered to help me move the rest even though it was in the heat. There was really nothing big. About half a car load of things such as dishes that were in boxes ready for storage in her garage. Then about half a car load of things going to Good Will and about half a car load of garbage that never made it to the car but straight to the dumpster.

My Dad wanted to spend the rest of the weekend with Tonya. She told him that she was helping me yet he still insisted on going and to save money he would just go with her and she could take him back. I know rude, but that's my Dad.

I appreciate the help. Before we even started moving we met up at Red Robin for lunch. I of course paid. It was my thank you in advance for helping me out.

My Dad is such a flippin' baby. We got up there and of course there really wasn't much to do. Clean the kitchen (its tiny no worries) and vacuum. Well, my Dad just stands there and smokes while we're cleaning. He finally starts taking stuff down to Tonya's truck. After cleaning I took a load down too. Then we all finish it up but I notice my Dad is taking a light load down then resting for 10 minutes, then smoking a cigarrett. Honestly, everything could have been moved down the 3 flights of stairs in 10 minutes if he wasn't fiddling around.

Then, I find out later from Tonya, that he was complaining! He didn't think that I was doing anything and that I was playing games to make it so he had to do all the hard work. First of all, I never asked for his help, he said he wanted to come. Second of all, I'm not the one standing around with a thumb up my ass. And third of all, I just bought your ass lunch! Show some appreciation!

Anyways, I may not have my own room at the place I am living in now. But Tonya always cooks dinner so when I get home from work I don't have to worry about cooking. I will gladly do the dishes and he kids will reluctantly help clean up. It makes things really nice. I feel like I am at home already. Well, I guess I should because even when I had my own apartment I was over at her place from Friday after work until Monday morning (when I went to work) So, it's nice to not have to drive back and forth to the two places.

About Me

Hi, I’m Christie and I’m a country girl from Weed, CA (that’s right, no typo, Weed). Weed is in “The Real” Northern California, right by the Oregon border. I have lived in Arizona for about a year and a half and while I like stability, I also enjoy change.

Since I arrived in AZ I have moved 6 times. I went from North Phoenix, to West Phoenix, to Tempe, to East Mesa, then North Scottsdale, and now I am back in East Mesa (the most boring city in AZ, possibly the World!).

I went to Weed High (Our colors were green and white too! But our mascot was not a fichus); half way through my Freshman year I realized I hated high school. So, when I was old enough, 16, I received my California High School Diploma of Proficiency (No! It's better than a GED) and after completing my sophomore year, I immediately began attending the local community college, College of the Siskiyous. I graduated with my Associates at 17 - before I would have graduated high school. Recently, I graduated with my BS from University of Phoenix.

My first job was at a KFC/Taco Bell which I loved and hated at the same time. I loved my boss (the GM) and quit the day they fired her because I was only there as a favor to her, I was going to school full-time and had a previous full-time position working for a lumber mill, Roseburg Forest Products where I was a Log Yard Clerk and a Weighmaster.

I am currently an employee of Paramount Petroleum, a liquid asphalt company, I have been here since I moved to AZ and I work as a marketing administrator. The pay is okay, the benefits are okay, but I am highly considering a career change. Anyone hiring?

In addition to my 50 hour a week job I am also a bartender for a private bartending service, Pourmasters. I spend most of my nights and weekends bartending for private parties and events such as wedding, fraternity parties, employee dinners, funerals (no I’m not kidding), etc. If any of you (or your company) is in the Phoenix-Metro area and need a bartender for any event check out http://www.pourmasters.com/ and request me as your bartender!

I am an animal lover, unless it’s a bird, rodent (ferrets count!), or reptile. I like to go quad riding, and I can’t wait to buy my own and I enjoy paint balling as well. I am a race fan! I don’t watch NASCAR on TV but I am a Kasey Kahne(who is oh so yummy!) fan. I prefer the 420 Sprints, Late Models, and Modifies – maybe a dwarf car every now and then.

I like to talk a lot (obviously). I am a Gemini to the tee, I HATE feet, and The O.C. reruns always make me smile! :D I don't have any kids. I love to read, when I can, and I prefer smutty, trashy, novels. Aside from those my favorite books are The Summerhouse and The Return to Summerhouse by Jude Deveroux. I like these books because they give people a second chance to go back and change their life. I also enjoy the entire Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers.
I use to say in my bio’s that I need an Edward. However, after joining match.com the beginning of the year, I think that I found him (but only time will tell). Yup, I met him online – crazy I know!

My favorite movie is Rent because it doesn’t censor life. I think everyone should be open to free will and not judge someone for how they choose to live. Did I mention I am VERY liberal?
With such a busy schedule I rarely have free time; however, when I should find some I like to be young and have fun while I still can!

Eventually (hopefully not too eventually), I’ll open up my own chain of bars (the ones you drink at – not the ones you sit behind). I have a passion for alcohol unlike anyone else and let’s face it, people are far more interesting with a mind altering substance controlling their behavior.
